The Soft/FX series has a pattern of tiny lenslets designed specifically to put line image elements, like wrinkles and skin blemishes, out of focus while leaving larger details such as the eyes, sharp. Lighter densities are very subtle, producing virtually no flare from highlights or reduction in contrast. The higher densities work harder to minimize facial imperfections and provide a more pleasing portrait.

Diffuser gives a soft-focus effect due to its irregularly uneven surface. Diffuser gives an overall soft-focus effect. It is particularly effective in portraiture and commercial photography.

Tiffen 72mm Double Fog 3 Filter

Double Fog filters have milder flare and softening characteristics than standard Fog filters while exhibiting a much greater effect on contrast, especially in the stronger grades. A very thick natural fog will still allow close-up objects to appear sharp. So will a Double Fog filter. They key to the effect is the much lower contrast combined with a minimal amount of highlight flare. The Double Fog filter is available in several grades.

Tiffen 77mm Black Pro Mist #1/8 Special Effects Filter

These Hollywood/FX® filters were originally designed for the TV and Motion Picture industry, but are now available to all photographers and videographers. Black Pro Mist filters are available in most sizes and in grades from one-eighth through five, with grade 5 having the most effect.
Hoya Fog (A&B) - Filter kit - fog - 58 mm

Lightly veils the entire picture in white. Available in a set of two: FOG (A) and FOG (B). FOG (B) has a stronger effect than FOG (A). Both can be used together to produce an effect similar to dense fog. The effect can be varied by changing the aperture of the lens, but stopping down too far will reduce the effect.
